As of April, 2006, Ray Sahelian, M.D. is no longer associated in any form with Irwin Naturals vitamin company and no longer associated with Advanced Ginkgo Smart. Dr. Sahelian developed Advanced Ginkgo Smart many years ago but is no longer associated with Irwin Naturals.

Q. Dr. Sahelian, I've been taking Advanced Ginkgo Smart, which has an endorsement from you on the label insert, but don't really notice a whole lot of difference in my mental clarity or concentration after taking it. I am now interested in purchasing your new formula, Mind Power Rx, but had a few questions: l) Is this a better supplement for helping mild age related memory problems? It seems like it must be, since the dosage requirement is only one pill a day.
   A. Dr Sahelian is no longer associated with the company that makes Advanced Ginkgo Smart. Due to his evolving knowledge, he has now formulated Mind Power Rx which has excellent feedback.

Q. I noticed advanced ginkgo smart has huperzine. Isn't huperzine more for those with Alzheimer's disease?
   A. Yes, huperzine is found in advanced ginkgo smart. I prefer young people not to use advanced ginkgo smart because of the huperzine content.

Q. Can someone take advanced ginkgo smart with LJ100 or dhea?
   A. I prefer not overdosing with herbs and supplements but to take advanced ginkgo smart by itself.

Q. I started taking Advanced Ginkgo Smart three days ago. And it seems to be making me worse. Before I would forget things, common stuff, like where I put the keys, things I need to do, etc. I think its because I have a lot on my mind. But anyway today it just seems like I'm out of it. It also seems like I have the concentration but the memory just seems to be getting worse. I was wondering if that is normal at first. Then it gets better. I'm not taking anything else just them.
