Clonazepam medication

Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine used to control certain types of seizures in the treatment of epilepsy and for the treatment of panic disorders.

Q. I have recently begun the process of tapering from the prescription medication clonazapam. Has any of your research has addressed the use of supplements to facilitate withdrawal from anti-depressant and anti-anxiety medications?
   A. It may be possible to do so by using certain supplements such as 5-HTP and others, but it is a case by case basis and few general statements can be made except to reduce the medication dosages slowly and gradually increase the supplement dosages.

Would it be safe to take DMG supplement or DMAE while taking low dose clonazepam 0.5mg once per day for panic disorder?
   It is not easy to predict a supplement / medication interaction since much depends on the person taking them and the dosage used. If you doctor approves you can begin with a quarter or half a tablet of the DMG pill.
