IVAX Corporation is a multinational drug company engaged in the research, development, manufacturing and marketing of branded and generic pharmaceuticals and veterinary products in the U.S. and internationally.

IVAX Laboratories, Inc., a member of Teva Group, markets PROAIR HFA (albuterol sulfate) Inhalation Aerosol, a relatively selective beta2-adrenergic agonist indicated for the treatment or prevention of bronchospasm with reversible obstructive airway disease and for the prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm in adults and children 12 years of age and older.

QVAR is a HFA (hydrofluoroalkane-134a) formulation of beclomethasone dipropionate. QVAR is indicated for the maintenance treatment of asthma as prophylactic therapy in adults and children as young as five years old. Available in two dosage strengths, 40 mcg and 80 mcg, QVAR is delivered by a propellant that does not contain chlorofluorocarbons, which damage the earth's ozone layer. The HFA formulation of QVAR results in an extrafine aerosol mist that delivers more of the active medication to the large, intermediate and small airways of the lungs and less to the mouth and throat.

Nasarel is an intranasal steroid spray indicated for the management of seasonal or perennial rhinitis, and delivers 29 mg flunisolide with each spray. Nasarel does not require shaking or counting of actuations, and contains no irritating fragrances or alcohol to dry out the nose when treating allergies.

Other products available from IVAX Laboratories, Inc. include several controlled-release tablets formulated for the relief of symptoms associated with colds and allergies. These include: Biohist LA for cold and allergy symptoms, Muco-fen DM for cough, Profen II, Profen II DM, Profen Forte, and Profen Forte DM for cold symptoms.
