   A. Both Passion Rx with and without Yohimbe have a few identical herbs (such as tribulus, maca, mucuna pruriens, tongkat ali) and others that are unique to each. Even the dosages of the identical herbs are different. The advantage of the version with Yohimbe is that some people find that it works quicker. The bottom line is that some people prefer one or the other, and still others like both of them and alternate their use. These libido improving supplements do not have caffeine or guarana, but most herbs used for sexual enhancement naturally increase energy and speed metabolism. There are no hormones, such as testosterone hormone, DHEA, or pregnenolone in this formula.

Use with SSRI drugs such as Prozac, Paxil and Zoloft and other antidepressants
 My boyfriend and I both take Prozac and have noticed a significant decrease in libido and he now has mild erectile dysfunction. Can we safely take Passion Rx whist using Prozac?
    We don't suggest using Passion Rx and an antidepressant such as Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, etc the same day since overstimulation or unexpected side effects could occur. If your doctor believes you have a mild case of depression and feels that you can be off the Prozac for a few days, you could take Passion Rx 2 days on, 2 or more days off, or every other day and take the antidepressant on the days when you are not taking the herbal formula. Many people, though, have reported to us no ill effects using the antidepressants and the herbal formula together. There are no easy answers when it comes to the use of Passion Rx (or almost any natural sexual enhancement product or pharmaceutical drug) in those who are taking SSRI drugs or other types of antidepressants. SSRI drugs stimulate the serotonin system in the brain which has a negative effect on libido and sexual enjoyment. Therefore, patients who take SSRI drugs will notice a reduced sex drive and interest. Hence, many search for natural herbs or pharmaceutical medicines to help them back to a normal sex life. One option is to switch to another type of antidepressant that does not interfere with sexuality. Another option is to take natural sex enhancing herbs. The problem here is that most of these herbs have an influence on brain chemistry and it is difficult to predict what kind of effect, positive or negative, they will have on a particular individual. For 4 years I have low mood, apathetic, low emotions, decreased cognitive abilities. Had taken SSRI drugs for some time which let to feeling low libido and feeling of low testosterone. Would Passion Rx help boost dopamine as-well sex drive?
   A. It helps many people with low libido, but we are not sure exactly which brain chemicals and hormones it influences.

Side effects, too much energy
I used only a capsule of this sex pill for 3 consecutive days and could not believe the "physical added sensation" (kicking in on the second day) - however, I have stopped taking it for the moment because I don't have a partner anyway and the extra libido and feeling / sensation make me restless, and because of the extra energy it gives me I find it more difficult to sleep - which is why i ordered melatonin - it's a bummer Holland will not allow the melatonin. So many smart drugs are readily available in Amsterdam ! Any (herbal) tips on how to fight insomnia are more than welcome - I've tried benzodiazepines but they become addictive and stop working after a while, a vicious circle.
   We suggest using Passion Rx no more than 2 days in a row to prevent the shallow sleep side effect.

Heart disease
I am generally in good health, however years ago I had a mild heart attack. One artery blocked about 50%, they put 2 stents in. Now the stents have blocked and a new artery has grown around the damaged one. I was on beta blockers but have been taken off. The only thing I'm on now is Lisinopril 10 mg and GNC's Arginmax. I feel really good, but all the meds I was on (5yrs ago) for my heart attack have sorta taken the wind out of the sail. I can get an erection, it just doesn't last long enough to have pleasurable sex. I am 53yrs old. If this will work, how much can I take, or do you know of another product I could take.
   A. Most of the herbs for sexual enhancement, including the combination in Passion Rx are potent and can stimulate the heart to beat faster and thus are not advised for those who have heart problems. A gentler approach may be using Prostate Power Rx with saw palmetto herb and stinging nettle herb which interestingly does enhance sexual function in a gentler way, and if your doctor approves you can try a capsule every other day. It's better to be on the safe side and take small amounts over a period of time such as a few weeks than shock the system with high dosages. Another help could be eating more cold water fish or taking a couple of fish oil capsules a day. Ginger and garlic could be of benefit. Arginine supplement increases nitric oxide and may be of benefit.

Tinnitus report
I have been taking Passion Rx without yohimbe for over 30 days with good results but then I developed chronic tinnitus. I do not know the exact cause and effect as I do take and have taken other ED related supplements but never yohimbe supplements. Have you had any reports of tinnitus from this product? I have stopped taking it for this reason. But I would still like to take it.
   A. This is the first we have heard of it. Do stop it for 2 weeks and restart to see if there is a causal effect. Are you taking prescription medications?

Combining with other supplements
 Can CoQ10 50 mg for healthy energy metabolism and heart function be combined with this aphrodisiac formula?
   A. We suggest you take them on alternate days.

 Butea herb is promoted as an aphrodisiac. Dodder seed is used in China for sexual enhancing benefits. Cdp-choline supplements boost mental power and have some positive effect on libido, too. DHEA supplements convert into testosterone and hence can lead to improved sex drive in both men and women. DMAE supplement is more of a mind booster and does not have a significant effect on sexual drive. Zallouh herb grows in the Middle East and is popular there as a sex stimulant.

Tolerance
Passion Rx worked great for me, but after a few weeks it wasn't having the same effect. I have been seeing a homeopathic doctor and he has put me on some herbs like tribulus, avena sativa, chrysin and some other herbs that I don't have a problem with. The problem I have with tribulus and avena sativa is that he has me on such high doses which i feel makes them not as effective. I like tribulus at a dose of about 200 mg a day maybe 400, but he has me taking about 1800 mg a day. Avena sativa herb which i used to take would work great for about 5 days and then it would actually seem to kill my sex drive. I'm taking about 1800 mg of avena as well. I am only 22 yrs old and maybe the doses are so high my doctor is used to prescribing to older patients, and maybe I don't need as much. The weird thing is i know these herbs are working because I noticed that when i achieved an erection they were very full and hard but the problem i have is they're very hard to achieve, very hard to sustain (need a lot of hand stimulation), and when I'm flacid my testicles and penis seem to be smaller and my libido is terrible.
   Overuse of sexual enhancing herbs can be counterproductive. It is a good idea to take a one week break from all herbs and supplements and then restart again but this time taking more frequent breaks. These sexual herbs lose their benefit when taken too often. Also, it is a good idea to try one product at a time rather than mixing them so one can understand how each herb or formula is working by itself.

We have been asked whether the following supplements are helpful in sexuality enhancement but we do not believe they play a major role.
 Reishi mushroom used for immune function. Serrapeptase is used as anti inflammatory agent. Stevia herb is a no calorie sugar substitute. Vinpocetine helps dilate blood vessel as is used as a nootropic. Daidzein and Genistein are phytoestrogens. Lycopene is found in watermelon and tomato and could have a beneficial influence on the prostate gland. Quercetin is a flavonoid and antioxidant. Resveratrol os also a natural antioxidant found in grapes. Rosemary herb does not seem to influence libido but other herbs and spices like nutmeg and saffron do. Sitosterol is a phytosterol.
