Effectiveness, how well does it work? Is it for men and women?
No libido enhancing supplement or drug works in everyone. The satisfaction rate with Passion Rx in terms of an overall sexual improvement that includes libido, sensation, stamina and dilation of genital blood vessels ranges between 60 to 80 percent. Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra work very well in up to 70 percent of users in terms of erectile enhancement, but they do not have much of an effect on libido or sensation. It takes 2 or 3 days for the benefits of this herbal product to be noticed, it does not work in an hour or two like the prescription drugs.
   Sometimes it takes longer in some people but eventually it kicks in. One possibility is that the herbs are not being absorbed well. If possible you could open the capsules by pulling on each side and emptying the contents in an ounce or so of juice or milk or preferably a little wine or alcohol to dissolve well. Then drink this as soon as you awaken in the morning.

How to Take Passion Rx or individual Sex Herbs safely and efficiently
Taking an aphrodisiac herb or a herbal sex product is not as simple as taking a Viagra pill. If you know how to use these herbs, you can maximize your sexual enjoyment while minimizing side effects. Here are a few tips:

Take the herbs in the morning before breakfast so they are absorbed well without food in the stomach.
Herbs have side effects, too, although less serious than the drugs. Common side effects from high doses of sex herbs include overstimulation, restlessness, insomnia, headache, and rapid heart beat. If you get insomnia one night, skip a dose the next day, and next time take less than you did the day you got the insomnia.
Be patient. Most herbs take anywhere from 2 to several days to start working. Except for Yohimbe which can work within an hour or two.
Start with a small amount your very first time. Some herbs are quite potent, for instance Tongkat ali. Use a smaller amount over several days rather than a high amount for a quick effect.
Passion Rx is best used a capsule 2 days on and one day off. On the fourth day you can increase or decrease the dosage based on your initial response. You may notice a sexual enhancement even on the days that you don't take it.
Other supplements can cause stimulation, including certain mind supplements, Eyesight Rx, ginseng, many adaptogenic herbs, certain amino acids such as tyrosine.
Use caution if you are taking medicines since sometimes the interactions between herbs and medicines is not predicable.
Be cautious using sex herbs if you have a heart condition or a tendency for high blood pressure or heart rhythm abnormalities.
Take breaks. Don't take these herbs every day. Sometimes they lose their effectiveness if taken daily. It is a good idea to take at least 2 days off each week.

Age, elderly, seniors
Q. Why does your site say that you don't recommend the use of Passion Rx for men over 70. I am 72 in good general health. I don't take any medication whatsoever. I was interested in trying your product, however I am curious why you don't recommend it for men over 70.
   A. Many men over the age of 30 have weaker hearts than those who are younger. Aphrodisiac herbs are known to stimulate the heart to beat faster and we have decided to be very cautious and prevent the rare cases that something can go wrong.

Men and women and sexuality
Both men and women have similar biochemical pathways that lead to enhanced sexuality. These include androgen release, dopamine, and nitric oxide for vasodilation, amongh other chemicals. Many of the herbal aphrodisiacs in Passion Rx work to enhance all these aspects.

Is this pill you take once a day or like Viagra, something you take before sex?
   A. Herbal supplements don't work as quickly as Viagra since they take a few days for their maximal effect. This has the advantage of minimizing side effects that are common with pharmaceutical impotence drugs. Once the herbs start working, the benefits can be appreciated anytime day or evening even on the days when the capsules are not used. If a person just wants to be intimate on weekends, Passion Rx can be taken on Thursday and Friday morning and Saturday morning, and then off the rest of the week. Most sexual herbs don't work at their best within one hour like Viagra, but they provide, in addition to improved blood flow, better libido, sensation, and stamina, along with overall sexual enjoyment.

I know that you must know yourself that you have a good blend.

After suffering from slight impotence possibly due to diabetes type 2, I decided to try several alternative medications to improve the problem. I first tried Viagra which definitely helped me obtain a firm erection. However, I decided to avoid pharmaceuticals and began using Passion Rx and L-Arginine, both of which have also helped with the problem.

   A. It is common for competitors to say negative things about other products and it is difficult for Amazon to know which review is honest and which is not.

Side effects, adverse reactions, negative effects
I took two capsules of Passion Rx and felt my heart beating fast. Is this one of the side effects?
   Yes, we suggest not using more than one capsule.

I am having trouble sleeping -- I have been using Passion Rx daily for 2 weeks and it works great, except for the trouble sleeping.
   Take 3 days off from all supplements and then resume the Passion Rx every other day.

Viagra, Cialis and Levitra combination
I assume that one cannot take Passion Rx the same day as Viagra?
   We don't suggest taking them the same day, they are both potent. However, since the after effects of Passion Rx last 2 or 3 days, if your doctor approves you can take a capsule of the herbal formula 2 mornings in a row and then on the third day not take Passion Rx but take Viagra, perhaps a lower dose than you normally would take (such as half your normal dose). There are many variations of this. We have had feedback from users of both who have taken them the same day without problems but we just want to be cautious by recommending not taking them together just in case there are rare cases of untoward reactions in some sensitive individuals.

I had the opportunity to speak with someone from Physician Formulas when I placed my initial order for Passion Rx and at that time I was invited to keep you informed as to my progress. I was crushed by a heavy concrete pipe on a construction project. The result was my pelvis opened about 5" in the front, was pulled back into place and is now held by a plate and screw device. Within hours of the accident my testicles were swollen to the size of grapefruit and remained that way for quite some time. I am 63 years old but was very sexually active up to the time of my mishap and without question I want to be back to my old self again. I tried all three prescriptions for ED numerous times with absolutely no results and I have been eating a lot of raw pumpkin seed and I take mangosteen twice daily. A friend of mine researched the herbal approach to my problem and recommended your product Passion Rx. I ordered a sample pack and started taking a whole capsule every second day. I started taking a full capsule of Passion Rx three times a week and on alternate days the prostrate formula skipping the 7th day. Feelings certainly improved. I have a very beautiful young wife and she tries very lovingly to simulate me in any way she can.

I just wanted to know if it is possible to mix yohimbe, Viagra, Cialis, Passion Rx, withania somnifera. and tongkat ali, safely. I take a little yohimbe 2 hours before I take 50 Mg of Viagra. The results are phenomenally hard ,long lasting erections. Very satisfying to both me and my wife. I have heard that such combinations of herbs with Viagra is dangerous. Is this true?
   A. Passion Rx and tongkat are potent, we don't recommend using them together or with other drugs such as Cialis drug or Levitra the same day, but they can be taken the day after. If your doctor approves you can take Passion Rx or tongkat one day and the next day take the pharmaceutical drugs. One has to be careful combining these herbs and prescription medications since they can sometimes make the heart race or have an irregular rhythm, especially yohimbe and Viagra.

Antidepressants (see below for SSRI drugs)
Q. I am quite interested in trying Passion Rx for erectile dysfunction, loss of libido, and loss of sensitivity. Are there any drug interaction precautions with: Over the counter Prilosec 20 MG -- one in morning and one in evening. Claritin and like products. Alfuzosin HCL ER (Uroxatral) 10 MG tablet -- one at bed. Bupropion HCL XL 150 MG -- one each morning.
   A. I do not suggest using it in combination with antidepressants such as buproprioin Wellbutrin. It probably does not interact with Prilosec. Claritin and other antihistamines may make it more difficult to have erections. Alfuzosin Uroxatral is used for those with enlarged prostate glands. We do not have feedback from anyone who has used it together with the herbal formula.

Beta Blockers
I take Toprol XL 25 mg and Quinipril 5 mg. I also have a slight heart murmur controlled by Toprol beta blocker. I am 48 years old and am experiencing a decline in libido. I have no significant stressors with my partner or otherwise. To your knowledge are there any contraindications or health risks associated with my medications and the ingredients in the formula?
   We don't recommend Passion Rx for those who have a heart condition, unless a capsule is used no more than one day on, one day off, along with medical approval. As you doctor may have mentioned to you, beta blockers reduce sexuality and can cause impotence.

Birth control pills
We have not done formal testing in this area, but since Passion Rx is not intended to be taken daily, we seriously doubt it would have a significant reaction when used with BCPs. After developing this product since 2004, we have not had any indication that it alters the effects of BCPs.

Caffeine or coffee
I recently started taking Passion Rx and Prostate Power Rx, not on the same days, and really love it. I'm 63 and I've been to three doctors for lack of libido. They checked testosterone, blood pressure, cholesterol, thyroid, diabetes, as well as various other things and I was told it is probably age and sent me home. Two days after taking Passion Rx I was having erections, desire and orgasms like I was 30 again! This stuff really works! However: I have a question: Does caffeine affect the performance of the product?
   We suggest not using too much caffeine on the days you take Passion Rx since you may feel overstimulated and have faster heart beat.

Clozaril
I am taking medications as follows 150mg Clozaril clozapine, 25mg anafranil, 30mg oxazepam and 50mg of captopril. I heard about your product from an endocrinologist. I hope its safe and I hope I get some relief from libido problems.
   We feel uncomfortable mixing so many medications and an herbal sex enhancer.

Coumadin, warfarin, blood thinning medications
Can you tell me if there are any contraindications with warfarin Coumadin?
   We have not tested blood coagulation parameters with Passion Rx so we don't know if the herbs influence blood thinning or coagulation or have no effect. Most of the time Coumadin is taken by those who have a heart condition or atrial fibrillation, and we do not suggest people with a heart condition take this aphrodisiac formula or most of the sex herbs.

NSAIDs, ibuprofen, Motrin, Aleve
Any known drug interactions (to ibuprofen, acetaminophen, anti-histamines, decongestants, etc)?
   We don't suspect any problems with NSAIDs and acetaminophen, but it may not be wise to take it with decongestants.

SNRI drugs
Duloxetine (Cymbalta, Ariclaim, Xeristar, Yentreve) is a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor manufactured and marketed by Eli Lilly.

I am currently taking Cymbalta. I am very interested in Passion Rx product, but would not want to take it if it will cause bad side effects with my current medication. Could these 2 medications be taken together?
   Passion Rx is quite potent and we don't recommend people on antidepressants to combine it with their medicines since there could be side effects of overstimulation and insomnia. It could be taken on the days you don't take the Cymbalta.

SSRI drugs, Paxil, Prozac, Zoloft, prescription antidepressants
SSRI drugs also include Lexapro and Celexa and influence mostly the serotonin system in the body and brain.

Do you have customers who are on SSRI drugs and have low sex drive and found it took more time for Passion rx to work than normal healthy individuals?
   A. Yes, without a doubt. SSRI drugs reduce sex drive, sensation, and the ability to keep an erection. Therefore, the benefits of any aphrodisiac herbal formulas would take longer and they would not be as effective as in people who are not taking these SSRI medications. Passion Rx is quite stimulating and so are SSRIs, so it would not be a good idea to take them together on the same day, but if your doctor approves, Passion Rx can be taken on a day when SSRIs are not being used. Having said this, we have had feedback from customers who took the slow approach of one capsule every other day and noticed significant benefits after a week or two.

Statin drugs used for cholesterol reduction
One has to look at the complete health analysis of a person rather than make a decision based solely on the medicines they are using, however we do not see any major interaction with statin drugs such as Lipitor or Zocor and the herbal aphrodisiac formula.

Interactions with other prescription medications
Q. Passion Rx has not worked for me as well yet after a week. I am taking 40mg Nexium for GERD and 8mg Cardura for BPH. I use melatonin 3mg and Benadryl diphenhydramine 50mg at bedtime. I also am taking Anastrozole 1mg twice a week to lower blood estrogen, 100mg injectable depo-testosterone every 10 days, and for the last 30 days have been injecting Somatropin to raise blood HGH. I'm doing everything I can to preserve sexual vitality. I am 70 years old and am grieving the near loss of orgasmic ability; otherwise I am extremely healthy. I can get it up, it just won't go off. I don't mind trying some more, but I need some encouragement that it will work.
   A. In the minority of people who say this sexual enhancement formula did not work well for them are usually those on multiple medications. Cardura (doxazosin mesylate) is a quinazoline compound that is a selective inhibitor of the alpha 1 subtype of alpha adrenergic receptors. Cardura is used for prostate enlargement treatment. Doxazosin competitively antagonized the pressor effects of phenylephrine (an alpha 1 agonist) and the systolic pressor effect of norepinephrine. Doxazosin and prazosin have similar abilities to antagonize phenylephrine. Cardura may cause decreased sexual ability. We're not sure if Nexium has an influence on erectile function. Melatonin may blunt sexuality and so does diphenhydramine Benadryl since it is an antihistamine. Anastrozole interferes with the production of estrogen in the body. As a result, the amount of estrogen that the tumor is exposed to is reduced, limiting the growth of the tumor. You are also taking testosterone and Somatropin which is a form of the naturally occurring human growth hormone. With so many drugs and hormones, it is nearly impossible to say all the biochemical and endocrine events that are going on in your body from all these combinations. Passion Rx works better when people are not taking other drugs or hormones and this could be the reason why this herbal sexual formula may not be working for you.

For some reason, perhaps smoking cigarettes at a young age, smoking marijuana, drinking, and being on anti-depressants, especially Geodone, my penis is virtually dead. I no longer take these medications and I never drink or smoke. I am 27 years old and for some reason these activities seem to have destroyed my libido and shrunken my testicles and penis. Viagra helps to an extent but I never wake up with erections. Can it be that Geodone and smoking at a very young age caused me irreparable damage and actually shrunk my genitals and ruined my libido? Can I take Tongkat Ali and Passion Rx if I am currently taking 30mg of Dexedrine a day along with 125mcg of Synthroid daily? The Dexedrine helped cure my depression and the Synthroid is for an underactive Thyroid.  I would say I have almost no sexual thoughts or drive. There is little sensitivity even during sex. I can't ejaculate unless I masturbate. And I do not get an erection without the help of Viagra, only sometimes. I never wake up with an erection and I have very little blood flow to my genitals. And my genitals have shrunk. I did have my testosterone checked and the urologist said that my levels are great.
   You may wish to ask your doctor about the sexual side effects of Dexedrine. We don't recommend using Passion Rx or tongkat ali the same day as amphetamines or stimulants.

Please tell me if Passion Rx will work because I take the following medications. I'm 81 yrs old and work out 5 days a week. I'm in good shape.Nardil 60mg I've taken these for over 30 years and they continue to help me. Amlopipine 5mg I take this for high blood pressure. Levetiracetam 1000mg I had a minor seizure a few years back and this is an anti-seizure prescription. Celebrex 400 mg This is for arthritis.
   A. We do not suggest an older person who is on several medications to take this aphrodisiac product.

Blood thinning, anti-coagulant
I have multiple sclerosis and inject myself with Copaxone daily, so I can easily monitor my reactions to supplements as far as anti-coagulant properties. If I take too many anti-coagulants, I bleed when I take my shot; otherwise, I don't bleed at all, or just a tiny dot of blood. The past month or so, I have been very normal, only that tiny dot or no blood to speak of. Yesterday, I took Passion Rx, and bled this morning. The bleeding did stop pretty fast when applying a cotton ball, so perhaps it is just a blood-thinner, but does not affect the ability for the blood to coagulate.
   Thank you for letting us know your experience, this is the first we have heard of it. Perhaps if others notice the same we will take a look at it in more detail.

Heart disease and heart attack
We don't recommend this aphrodisiac or sex herbs to anyone with unstable cardiovascular problems since these herbs can stimulate the heart to beat faster.

Hypertension, high blood pressure
I have high blood pressure and am under treatment with very little help with conventional meds. I do not have high cholesterol not over weight.
   We generally don't recommend Passion Rx for those with unstable cardiovascular problems since it can make the heart beat faster and stronger. However those with mild or moderate hypertension can use it under medical supervision.

Q. I have high blood pressure which I take a 5mg of Amlodipine Besylate (Norvasc) and a beta blocker called Inderal. Sex enhancers in the past have not worked for me.
   A. Norvasc and beta blockers are known to cause erectile dysfunction and in some people it is difficult to overcome the impotence causing effect of high blood pressure meds with natural sex pills.

Q. I have blood pressure issues; will the yohimbe in the Passion Rx with Yohimbe product be a problem assuming I am taking it only two or three times a week?
   A. We have not had any reports of any problems thus far from users of this product in those who have mild high blood pressure which does not require medication to treat it. Thus far we have not found the small amounts in Passion Rx with yohimbe to have a major influence on blood pressure. But, to be on the safe side, use one capsule every other day rather than daily.

Hysterectomy
Has it been tested on women that have had a full hysterectomy?
   We have not done any formal testing in regards to women with a hysterectomy. However, this product is very popular with women who have various female conditions.

Menstrual cycle
We're not sure if it effects the menstrual cycle, we have not had any women report any problems so far.

Nursing a baby, breastfeeding
How safe is it for a woman that is nursing? My doctor recommended this product but told me to check the with you to see what your recommendations are.
   We have not done studies to determine if any of the herbs that are ingested end up in breast milk, so we don't know. We can only report that the few users who have given us feedback regarding breastfeeding and Passion Rx did not indicate any problems. But without a specific study to determine if the herbs make it to breast milk, we can't be sure. It may be a good idea to not use it at least the first 6 months. After that use of the product 2 days a week seems reasonable and safe.

Pregnancy
I use Passion Rx and absolutely love it! I have recently found out that I am pregnant and was wondering if you know if it is safe to take it while pregnant? I am a 24 year old housewife and mother of 4. Before my husband and I had children I had an excellent sex drive. We were spontaneous and had alot of fun (hence the kids). After my twins my sex drive went down very much and after my youngest it was non-existent. I would have sex just so my husband would leave me alone about it for a while. We had sex MAYBE once a month and even then I didn't enjoy it. It was kind of like my body didn't respond to the sensation anymore. I had asked my OB/gyn and she said it was normal and it was just hormones getting back to normal. This went on for more than a year! That's when I found the web-site for Passion Rx and decided well it couldn't get any worse. I noticed the effects within the first couple of days of taking it. My body responded when my husband touched or even kissed me! I had DESIRE back! I had more energy during the day to get done what I needed to and I couldn't wait for my husband to get home and sneak a few moments alone. Passion Rx helped me with my life as a whole.    This is an amazing testimonial. We don't recommend using it during pregnancy since the herbs could influence hormonal levels. Many of the herbs in Passion Rx influence hormone levels and it is very complicated since there are more than a dozen of them and it is so difficult to know how they interact with the hundreds of natural hormones in the body and the brain chemicals. Just to be safe, we suggest not using this herbal product during the early stages of pregnancy for the first 6 months, and then after, if your obgyn doc approves, you could try a capsule just 2 days a week. This way we will stay safe.

Prostate gland, BPH, enlarged prostate
There are no reports thus far, after several years of consumers using this sexual enhancer, that it has a major influence on the prostate gland.

I am 70 and have an enlarged prostate. I take a daily dose of 2.5mg Xatral (Alfuzosin hydrochloride) plus two capsules of Prostavit (a herbal by BIONAL). For the last year or so I have noticed a drastic decrease in seminal volume followed, recently by some mild erectile dysfunction. Do you recommend any of your herbal formulas for these two disturbances and should I continue Xatral (Alfuzosin hydrochloride) and Prostavit?
   Please discuss with your doctor whether Prostate Power Rx and fish oils would be appropriate for you since we can't directly advise or suggest treatment.

Prostate gland removal, cancer
I had a prostectomy surgery two years ago, The nerves were spared and I can still get somewhat of an erection. Can any sexual herbs help me?
   It's really difficult to predict how each person's sexual enhancement response would be to tongkat ali, tribulus, horny goat weed, yohimbe, etc but they are worth a try.

Since my husband's Radical Retropubic Prostatectomy (RRP), he has not only become impotent, but has also experienced a tremendous loss of sexual desire. Is there anything in the formula of Passion Rx that is contraindicated among those who have had prostate cancer?
   In order to know for certain whether the herbal combination in Passion Rx influences prostate cancer, we would have to do studies for several years in a large group of older men. Since that is not practical, we can't give any definite answers at this time However, many of the herbs in Passion Rx have shown anti-tumor activity in test tube studies. Another option to consider is Prostate Power Rx with saw palmetto, pygeum, and several other herbs beneficial to the prostate.

Q. Many years ago I took a a single capsule of a product called “Male Fuel” which contained yohimbe (I don’t know the amount). Benefits were definite but accompanied by BPH like symptoms as the lone side effect — that was significant enough — I took no more. Will Passion Rx with Yohimbe cause BPH symptoms?
   A. We have not had such negative reactions reported.

Spinal cord injury
We have not tested Passion Rx in cases of neural injury so we really don't know, plus it is stimulating and the extra energy may be uncomfortable if one is in a wheel chair and cannot be physically active.

Thyroid gland function, hypothyroid, hyperthyroid
I take Synthroid every morning before eating. Will this interfere with it?
   Passion Rx is potent, and we generally prefer people taking hormones, such as Synthroid or androgens, to be careful using this product since we have not studied every possible interaction. However, if your doctor approves, you could try a slow process of a capsule every other day.

Testosterone
Does Passion Rx affect your body's natural ability to produce testosterone? That is, will this natural ability be reduced or replaced whether you are using or stop using this product?
    We have not done studies with the product in terms of its effects on testosterone or other hormones to know how or if it affects the levels. For long term use we suggest not using this male performance enhancer more than 3 days a week and we recommend being off a full week each month.

Tolerance
It is possible that in some people tolerance may develop and sometimes taking a break for a week or two from all sexual herbs or products is a good idea. Herbal products work better after a break.

I tried Passion 2 days and it was ok when I took 2 days off and tried PassionRx in AM, with only 1 multi and only 1 Mind Power after I ate breakfast. I felt OK all day with good energy But I woke at 4 AM and was very nervous and felt jittery in my upper chest and even felt a a little panicky attack it was scary. I am afraid to continue any of the mixtures. I also use Omega 3, CoQ10 50mg every other day, horse chestnut, and Prozac. I tried 5 HTP 2 weeks ago it was OK. I saw no warning for Passion Rx, brain, multi with Prozac and my Dr. said I could try supplements which I did carefully and low dose as you said.
   Unexpected results can happen when mixing many supplements together or when mixing prescription drugs and supplements. Always take low doses and learn each supplement on its own before combining, and always, when combining, use small amounts.

I am interested in the following: Mind Power Rx Joint Power Rx Passion Rx Eyesight Rx MultiVit Rx. But should I purchase and use all when perhaps one or would be sufficient? Joint Power Rx - 2 or 3 capsules five or six days a week
Mind Power Rx - 1 capsule 2 or 3 times a week
Passion Rx - a capsule two days a week
Eyesight Rx - a tablet two or three days a week
MultiVit Rx - one capsule three days a week
     We suggest not taking the libido formula the same day as Eyesight Rx or Mind Power Rx. These are just rough guidelines and you may find you need less.

Interactions
Coffee and caffeine
One can take Passion Rx with coffee but we suggest no more than one cup regular coffee a day since coffee is stimulating.

DHEA or pregnenolone hormone interaction
DHEA and pregnenolone may cause heart palpitations in high dosages. Please do not take them the same day as the libido enhancing formula. Please consult your doctor to make sure you have no health conditions before use, particularly heart disease.

GeroVital GH3
I am taking GeroVital GH3 and would like to know if it would be ok to take Passion Rx?
   The first few times you try it, we suggest taking it by itself without the GeroVital GH3 so that you know what it does without interference.

Green tea extract
Can I take it while taking green tea extract tablets, or while drinking 2-3 servings of green tea per day?
   We prefer people take Passion Rx by itself the first few times to see its effects without interference. Once you know how you react to different dosages of Passion Rx, then you can tell if you can combine it.

SAM-e antidepressant
I have been taking Sam-e as an alternative to antidepressants, I would like to try Passion Rx, so I want to know if I can safely take them on alternating days? I think I read on your site that I shouldn't take them at the same time.
   They are both potent and alternating them would be preferable.

St. John's wort
Have tried this product before and it really does work. I am now taking St johns wort and soya isoflavones could you please tell me if it is safe to take passion Rx.
   Since this sex pill is not used everyday, the other products can be taken on the off days.

Review sites
I have been unable to locate unbiased 3rd party opinions on Passion Rx. Having been scammed in the past I do not like buying products that do not have them. Could you point me to a forum, study, or feedback database of some sort?
   We are not aware of an unbiased site, most review sites will promote their product at the top of the list and then say unflattering things about products from other companies.
